Uhh, well this is awkward...

Howdy ya’ll, um sorry I haven’t blogged at all, I’ve had a few (HAHAHAHAHA few?) issues over here and blogging appears to have gotten pushed down the list after “sleep”, something I do for as long as I can. My job was difficult, on my first day I had to teach three classes and had to start filling out grade books in a language I didn’t know. Three classes wouldn’t be so bad if my students wouldn’t have been able to send inner city Chicago students home crying to their “mama’s” simply by punching one with a pair of brass knuckles. Classes are categorized by grade / and then where they rank, so Matiyom 4 / 1 is a very nice obedient class that loves to learn and is very friendly. /2 and /3 are about the same, /4 /5 not so bad as well. I had /6 /7 and /8, kids who are too old to be scared of me and too young to not act like lunatics. They were fun, when they came to class, and I’m going to miss them. 150 students total, excluding my grade school students which I’ll write about later.

I wasn’t kidding about the brass knuckles, a “lady-boy” student of mine (named Kitty) punched another kid in the face and got expelled. He was such a good student too, as most of my lady-boys are. If you have never heard the term lady-boy before and are curious as to what that is, well… how do I say? A boy dressed up like a lady. There we go, in America about 1 in every 300,000 men is a lady-boy, but in my classes I got 1 in 10. I love em, next to the boy-boys they are very good students. Well excluding kitty, but he was just an example of lady boy attitude gone “uh uh no you di’ in” all the way to hateful revenge.

Hell has no fury like a lady-boy scorned.

Over the next few weeks I have left here I am going to try and blog every or every other day, and try and cover a majority of my experiences. It’s a little emotional for me to write this because things I should write about (my work, my home, my health) are not necessarily happy things to write about, but if I’ve learnt anything on this trip its how to stay on the optimistic side of things, and I’ll do my best on these blogs. What?? To the conclusion already?? Sorry but like I said, it is literally difficult for me to write this. But now that ive posted this, I have to come back on, so see later, you’re in my prayers.
